Good morning. Today's video The Son - Part22 is on the topic of who the Son of God is; once saved always saved? Only if you continue in the faith of the Son of God. The encouragement is to not neglect your salvation; don’t take it for granted. Each day we have a choice to continue in the faith remaining grounded and settled, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel, Christ in you the hope of glory. Hebrews 2:1-4 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? (KJV) 1 Peter 4:17-19 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? In Galatians chapter three it talks about those who began in the Spirit only to revert back to the flesh. We are warned throughout the scriptures to watch and pray always; to be sober and vigilant with our salvation because the devil as a roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour. And if we don’t keep watching diligently in the Spirit, the thief will find a way in and begin to steal, kill, and possibly destroy your salvation if he is not caught and cast out; all this because we are found sleeping (not watching). As we overcome and kill off those areas in our life that have been a hindrance in our walk and relationship with the Father in Christ, we need to be diligent in not allowing any leaven to enter in and begin to leaven the whole lump all over again. The warning is clear… Galatians 2:18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. (KJV) So there are many distractions in this world that seek to lure you back into sin; but it is up to you to stand fast in the faith, by keeping your flesh (old nature) in subjection to the Spirit of Christ within you. We have been given wisdom and power to overcome the world by Jesus Christ, who overcame, himself being tempted in every manner as we are and yet sinned not; having given us an example to follow, as well as having given us a great cloud of witnesses throughout the scriptures, and through our brethren who are following in Christ’s sufferings, overcoming themselves. Today is the day of salvation, now is the accepted time. Today, now faith; choose you this day whom you will serve; the god of this world and the lusts thereof or the God of all creation who gave his Son, Christ Jesus, for an example of overcoming the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21) and how to cultivate and grow in the fruit of the Spirit unto eternal salvation (Galatians 5:22-25). 2 Peter 1:2-11 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (KJV) Once saved, always saved? Let not your faith stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God, Christ in you. Our brother Paul confessed in Galatians 2:20, so should we also. Wherefore dear brethren, we will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though you know them, and be established in the present truth. Don’t let those things which you have heard and have been assured of, knowing from whom you learned them (not of men, but by the Spirit of the living God; leading and guiding you into all truth concerning God our Father and his Son Christ Jesus our Lord) slip by you into sin unto death. Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (KJV) Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (KJV) God cannot lie; and neither can he be tempted with evil (James 1:12-15). So how could Jesus have been God? Matthew 4:1-11 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. (KJV) Hebrews 2:16-18 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. (KJV) Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (KJV) Jesus was tempted in every manner as we are and yet he sinned not. He had a choice, just like we do, to follow the leading and guiding of the Spirit, Christ in him; and thank God he chose to follow Christ and not the lusts of the flesh. For in this he became both Lord and Christ; our high priest, our intercessor, our way, our truth, our life, our example, our Rock solid foundation, and most importantly, our Lord and Saviour. Jesus was the son of man; and the Son of God. The son of man referring to the likeness of sinful flesh; the Son of God referring to the image of God, who is Christ. Unto us a child was born (Jesus); unto us a son was given (Christ). So of these two one new man was made, Christ Jesus, our mediator. 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (KJV) The Son of God, Christ, was given in the conception of Jesus of Nazareth, the son of man, born of the seed of David according to the flesh (born of a woman); and declared the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead; and he is now seated at the right hand of God the Father. In this was Jesus anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power, Christ in him the hope of glory. This enabled Jesus to overcome the lusts of the flesh, and of which Christ condemned sin in the flesh. Jesus said “Why call me good? There is none good but one, that is God” (Mark 10:17-18). Jesus also said to search the scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life, but they are they which testify of me. Who? Christ in him the hope of glory. Many know him after the son of man, the fleshly man, the son of Mary and Joseph a carpenter; but few know him after the Spirit, the Son of the living God, Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. We are taking a break this week on the Son of God series of videos to address the deity of Jesus. Today's video The Deity of Jesus is on the topic of when how and Jesus became a part of the Godhead bodily. Jesus of Nazareth became a part of the Godhead when God accepted the completed sacrifice of Jesus Christ and seated him at His own right hand. Jesus lived a life without sin being led by the Spirit of Christ within him. He was tempted in every manner as we are and yet he sinned not but was obedient unto death. Daily laying down his life (he took up his own spiritual cross and followed Christ, the Word of the living God who abided within him) despising the shame and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Jesus Christ is the example we are to now live our life by. He said to eat of his flesh (lay down your life and take up your cross) and drink of his blood (follow him; led by the Spirit of Christ within you) for this example will lead you on the path of eternal life giving you strength to overcome the wicked one so that you too may be seated at the right hand of God with Jesus Christ for eternity. Colossians 2:8-12 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. (KJV) God accepted Jesus Christ’s sacrifice, a sweet smelling savor; He overcame the wicked one through faith and obedience to Christ within him and is now seated at the right hand of God forever making intercession for us. He became the firstborn among many brethren, the first begotten from the dead; He became both Lord and Christ. Jesus was a man just like you and I when he walked this earth, but when he was resurrected from the dead, having overcome death, he is now a part of the Godhead bodily. Jesus Christ our mediator who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. God bless. Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (KJV) Revelation 1:5-6 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (KJV) Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
